History

World Emoji day celebrates the history of these emotional expressions, and encourages you to be exceptionally emotive! This date was first used by Apple as a reference to when iCal for Mac premiered at MacWorld Expo in 2002.

The word “Emoji” is derived from the Japanese words e (for picture) and moji (for character).

Celebrating Emoji day is a lot of fun and offers limitless opportunities for creativity! with the variety of emoji’s available today you can tell so many stories without using a single word. Celebrate Emoji Day by using all the animated images you can with your friend or friends , tweet them on twitter, post them on Facebook, text them in your messenger, and just generally fill the world with emojis.

According to Adobe’s 2021 Global Emoji Trend Report, emoji has lots of benefits for work — helping professionals easily share ideas and communicate more sincerely, especially across language barriers. More than half of the 7,000 users surveyed around the world also said emoji has helped improve their mental health.
