Microsoft Donates $250,000 To Support LGBTQI+ and Racial Equity.

Microsoft’s Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Chris Capossela announced that they are making $250,000 donation to nonprofits in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia-Pacific to support LGBTQI+ and Racial Equity. He say’s that there is need for open dialogue because it helps to create momentum, build empathy and change history.

Supreme Court’s decision protects LGBTQI+ people from discrimination at work place. This also reminds that the journey towards true equality is not over yet. Microsoft has even launched special edition products for the LGBTQI+ community. They are also running campaigns to help employees to share their stories with the world.

Microsoft is operating in over 120 countries where LGBTQI+ community is not recognized by the respective countries. In order to help them Microsoft has started GLEAM Community (Global LGBTQI+ Employees and Allies at Microsoft). It helps employees to open up, create dialogue and push forward.
